Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (Riserva)

Produced with grapes chosen bunch by bunch, this wine is aged in oak and wild chestnut barrels. The original ruby colour takes on an orange hue over the prolonged ageing process, and the wine assumes a delicate violet aroma and a gentle hint of bitterness, making it a perfect match for roast game and red meat in general. It is a dry wine, and leaves the palate completely refreshed, qualities that make it an excellent after-dinner drink as well. Despite its relatively high alcohol content, its extraordinary softness makes it extremely light on the palate and more delicate on the stomach. The most discerning connoisseurs consider it to be among the best Italian wines to accompany roasts. Furthermore, it was the first Italian wine to be classified with the D.O.C.G. denomination.

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano

This Vino Nobile, with its prestigious protected designation of origin, is produced from carefully selected grapes, chosen bunch by bunch, from the San Giuseppe vineyard, one of the most highly regarded vineyards on the Sant'Agnese Estate. It is a full bodied and at the same time elegant wine, an excellent accompaniment to roast game, red meat and dry cheeses, such as pecorino.

Rosso di Montepulciano

This wine is certified with the D.O.C. denomination. It isn't aged for as long as the Nobile, and has a lower alcohol content. It is particularly suited to meat dishes in general.

Rosso Fanetti

This classic red table wine is a great accompaniment to all types of food, and is an excellent value traditional everyday family wine.

Vin del Sasso

This red wine is made with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and aged in barrels. It is a good accompaniment to roasts in general, as well as being an excellent meditation wine.

Vin Santo Toscano

The Vin Santo is made from grapes that are hung up on rafters after the harvest and left to dry until Christmas, when they are pressed. The pressed juice is left to ferment together with the must for several years in caratelli (small wooden kegs), in a covered vinsantaia (a specially-designed out-house), where it will be protected from temperature variations. With its dark amber colour, it is the classic dessert wine.

Grappa di Vino Nobile

The fresh vinasse resulting from the Estate's production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is distilled to produce this exquisite grappa, reminiscent of the traditional local farmers' grappas. It has an intense, yet at the same time delicate, aroma.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Tuscan oil is renowned for its fragrance and lightness. It is ideal for use in most recipes, bringing out the best in all kinds of food, and conferring that traditional, sought-after Tuscan flavour. The Sant'Agnese Estate olive groves are south facing. Each tree produces about 10 kg of olives, rendering 1 litre of oil. The oil is green with green-yellow reflections of varying intensities. It is a well-bodied oil, with harmonious organoleptic sensations, characterised by early notes of fresh fruit, followed by bitter, raw artichoke or thistle-like notes, leading to a spicy, peppery finish that leaves the mouth pleasantly clean. It can be bought direct form our wine cellars.
